This conference is hosted and presented by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. La Crosse,
Wisconsin, USA, is located on the scenic Mississippi River, offering an
excellent venue for a conference on major river basins.
This is the third in a series of international conferences on large river basins; the first was at Dubna University (Russia), along the Volga River in 2002, and second was at Assiut University (Egypt), along the Nile River in 2003.
WHAT'S NEW
AUDIENCE
This
multidisciplinary conference is targeted for an audience from the
sciences, arts, humanities, other groups who manage and use riverine
resources, and individuals with a general interest in learning.
Selected afternoon and evening sessions will be open to the general public at no charge.

FORMAT
The program will include keynote, plenary and topical oral sessions;
